Becky Lynch going down to Lyra Valkyria to lose her WWE NXT championship was not something the world saw coming. With the latter coming in as a choice challenger, Lynch was the frontrunner to put on a show, instead, it was a shocking defeat that was on the cards. There was also ample drama on the side with Jade Cargill showing up.
While there is no word on who she’s targeting, and what brand she may end up in, the fact that she popped up twice near the NXT championship leads to doubts that she may indeed look at Valkyria as her next opponent.
As for the match, Valkyria appeared to be ready for everything that Lynch had to throw at her. The latter knew it was game over when she was pinned by the shoulders to the mat as Valyria won her first title. In the aftermath, Lynch presented the title to Valkyria herself before the two embraced with a smile. The defeat marks the end of Lynch’s title reign of 43 days.

As ensued between Valkyria and Lynch on WWE NXT, Jade Cargill sat on her throne, looking unfazed. According to recent reports, the former TBS Champion has been eyeing the NXT Women’s Championship for quite some time now.
Initially, she hinted at taking on Lynch during a RAW episode, and during last week’s NXT as well. But with Valkyria crowned champion, the focus might shift to the 27-year-old. Only time will tell who she faces in the days to come.
Cargill has appeared backstage on multiple programs since inking her deal. The AEW star has already interacted with the likes of Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Adam Pearce.
Recently, she had a stormy and tense stare down with Lynch and Charlotte Flair. This led to rumor mills suggesting that either of the two was her next opponent. But now, Valkyria seems to have entered the fray.
