Paramount+ has announced that Academy Award winner Helen Mirren and Academy Award nominee Harrison Ford will lead the service’s next upcoming Yellowstone prequel series.

From Academy Award nominee Taylor Sheridan, 1932 (the series’ working title) will debut on Paramount+ this December, and will be produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, and Bosque Ranch Productions. It is executive produced by Sheridan, John Linson, Art Linson, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, and Ben Richardson.
There’s little information as to who Ford and Mirren will be playing in the show, but they are set to star in it as the leads.
For his work on 1883‘s pilot episode, Sheridan received a Writers Guild of America Awards nomination.

The upcoming prequel series “will introduce a new generation of the Dutton family and explore the early twentieth century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition, and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west, and the Duttons who call it home,” according to the synopsis.
