The Injustice animated film got its cast and its box art and now it finally has a trailer. Strangely enough, the trailer reveals that the film is rated R, which is a step up in maturity for the T-rated video game series it is based upon.
IGN posted the exclusive trailer, which is at the bottom of the article. The video goes through a fairly basic summary of the premise of the first game and doesn’t seem to stray much at all from the source material. It remains to be seen if it will be an exact retelling of that original 2013 game, but it seems very likely.

Since it is coming out on physical and digital storefronts a few days after the DC FanDome, viewers can expect more footage of the film at the event on October 16. While it looks even more improbable that Injustice 3 will show up given the rumors swirling about NetherRealm Studios, DC video game fans will have something to look forward to as the DC FanDome will have extended looks at Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad game and WB Montreal’s Gotham Knights.
