Following the virtual streaming event’s successful debut last year, Warner Bros. and DC Comics have finally announced the upcoming launch for their second edition of DC FanDome, which will be happening for one day only, kicking off at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 16. In addition, Warner Bros. has also provided us a preview of what fans should expect to see in the annual virtual fan convention, promising major movie and TV reveals including first looks at six highly-anticipated DC movies as well as upcoming DC shows from WBTV, HBO Max, and Warner Bros. Animation.
“DC FanDome 2020 was a first-of-its-kind global virtual fan experience and showcased every aspect of the DC Universe with unprecedented scale and access,” Chair and CEO of WarnerMedia Studios and Networks Group, Ann Sarnoff said in a statement (via Deadline). “This year, we’re taking everything that people loved about DC FanDome and supercharging it to super-serve fans with even more exclusive first-looks, breaking news, in-depth interviews, and insight from the stars and creative teams of their favorite DC content.”

DC FanDome 2021 will feature big presentations filled with first looks and surprises from Warner Bros. Pictures, Warner Bros. Television, Warner Bros. Games, DC publishing, HBO Max, Warner Bros. Animation. Like the first event, the second edition will be available for streaming on Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and its official website.
Warner Bros. Pictures is expected to drop an exclusive new trailer for Matt Reeves’ The Batman starring Robert Pattinson as well as new content from DC League of Super-Pets, a first look at Black Adam, The Flash sneak peek, and some behind-the-scenes footage at Shazam! Fury of the Gods, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Meanwhile, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is set to give a preview at two new original DC Animated films such as a sneak peek at Injustice, and the official trailer for Catwoman: Hunted.

As for the TV side, Warner Bros. TV will provide a look at new seasons of Batwoman, The Flash, Superman & Lois and Netflix’s Sweet Tooth, as well as a sneak peek at a new episode of DC’s Stargirl. Fans should also expect a farewell tribute to The CW’s Supergirl as it approaches its epic conclusion after six seasons.
First Looks at new upcoming live-action dramas from acclaimed filmmaker Ava DuVernay such as The CW’s Naomi and HBO Max’s DMZ are also set to debut along with an exclusive look at James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad spinoff series Peacemaker. Fans will also get to see a sneak peek at the long-awaited Harley Quinn Season 3, a preview at Young Justice: Phantoms, and more.
