You may have already seen the long-awaited Justice League movie, now playing in theaters worldwide, and with a new DC film seemingly in development every other week for the DC Extended Universe, it can be easy to lose track of what projects are at what stage of development and which one fans can expect next. Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, and J.K. Aquaman
Release date: December 21, 2018
What we know: James Wan, known primarily for his horror movies but also the likes of Furious 7, directed the upcoming solo movie which sees Jason Momoa back as the King of Atlantis. He'll be joined by Amber Heard as Mera again alongside Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko and newcomers Patrick Wilson as Orm aka Ocean Master, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, and Nicole Kidman as Atlanna.
Details are light on the film, but Wan previously described it as a “swashbuckling action adventure” calling it “a quest story in the spirit of Raiders of the Lost Ark meets Romancing the Stone.”

Shazam!
Release date: April 5, 2019
What we know: Originally this film would have included Dwayne Johnson as its antagonist, Black Adam, but they were recently split into two different films (we'll get into that more later). Shazam! itself is set to be directed by David F. Sandberg, another horror film alum (whose credits include Lights Out and Annabelle: Creation), with Zachary Levi set to star as the titular hero and Asher Angel as Billy Batson. Mark Strong is in talks for the villain of the film, Doctor Sivana (the oldest foe of the hero from back in the day). Production is set to begin next year, but questions still linger about whether this movie is actually within the continuity of the DCEU since it is being produced by WB's genre label, New Line Cinema.

Wonder Woman 2
Release date: November 1, 2019
What we know: Even before the first Wonder Woman was released, there was already talk of a sequel and though it took some time for the deal to close, director Patty Jenkins will return behind the camera for the movie. Jenkins and DC CCO Geoff Johns wrote the treatment for the sequel's story, which is being scripted by Dave Callaham. Rumors have pointed toward a 1980s Cold War setting for the heroine's new movie, but no details have been confirmed. The film's release date recently moved following the delay of Star Wars: Episode IX from May of 2019 to December prompting a shift ahead for the sequel.

Cyborg
Release date: Previously set as April 3, 2020
What we know: Very little is confirmed about the Cyborg movie other than it is in development with Ray Fisher set to reprise his role from Justice League in a standalone movie. Joe Morton, who plays the father of the hero, previously revealed he signed a three-picture deal to appear as his character so he could also appear in the movie. No director or screenwriter has been hired to work on the project. The film's release date also remains in question as it was first announced back in 2014.

Green Lantern Corps.
Release date: Previously set as July 24, 2020
What we know: Even less is known about the Green Lantern Corps movie, but DC Films has been keen to include the logo for the film in all of their slate presentations at San Diego Comic-Con ever since confirming that it was in development. Screenwriter David Goyer (The Dark Knight Trilogy, Man of Steel, Batman v Superman) and Justin Rhodes (Contract Killers) were previously said to be writing the script for the film, which puts John Stewart and Hal Jordan together. The film has been described as a buddy cop movie in space. There has been little news about the film in some time, however.

The Batman
Release date: Unknown
What we know: Few other movies in the DCEU have been through as much turmoil before cameras even rolled as the upcoming solo Batman movie. Ben Affleck was originally set to star and direct the film from a script he co-wrote with DC CCO Geoff Johns. Since then, Affleck dropped out as a director and War for the Planet of the Apes' Matt Reeves was hired to bring the Dark Knight back to theaters while tossing out the Affleck/Johns script. It was previously said that Affleck would be going up against Joe Manganiello's Deathstroke, but that will seemingly no longer be the case. Questions continue to linger about the film, which may not even have Affleck as its star anymore.

Batgirl
Release date: Unknown
What we know: The Avengers director Joss Whedon was brought on in March 2017 to write and direct a Batgirl movie, long before he was hired to rework the Justice League film following Zack Snyder's departure. It has been reported that Whedon's film will take its cues from the “New 52” version of the character, primarily written by fan-favorite comic scribe Gail Simone. In that particular run of the character, Barbara Gordon had been paralyzed by The Joker but would have her paralysis healed and pick up the cowl again.
Speaking with Heat Vision, Whedon opened up about the character's appeal to him saying: "She didn't have her parents killed in an alley. Who is this person, who decides — rather than being forced to by their childhood trauma — decides to pick up this life? How intense and driven that person is ... I just couldn't stop thinking about it."

Nightwing
Release date: Unknown
What we know: The LEGO Batman Movie director Chris McKay isn't leaving the world of the dark knight behind as he's developing a film based around his first protege. McKay has offered updates on the film on his Twitter account, though no major updates have come around.

Flashpoint
Release date: Unknown
What we know: The Flash's own solo movie is almost as troubled as The Batman with several directors joining the project for a period of development and later departing, including The LEGO Movie's Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who penned a script for the film; Seth Grahame-Smith of Dark Shadows who was signed on to direct; and Dope's Rick Famuyiwa later signed on to direct too. No director is signed at the moment, though rumors have persisted. It was previously announced that Ray Fisher's Cyborg would appear in the film, but now we know that The Flash movie will partially adapt the Flashpoint storyline which saw Barry Allen saving his mother from death and fully altering the DCU.

Suicide Squad 2
Release date: Unknown
What we know: Before Suicide Squad opened, a sequel to the film was also being planned with a bizarre short list of potential directors that reportedly included Mel Gibson. Since then, Gavin O'Connor of The Accountant is set to write and direct the film, which could begin production as early as next year.

Gotham City Sirens
Release date: Unknown
What we know: Another film in development before Suicide Squad even opened, as it was announced that Margot Robbie fell in love with the character and wanted to develop her own spin-off, but not just a solo movie, the film would also bring in female characters from every corner of the DCU. David Ayer was previously hired to direct the film, which was being scripted by Geneva Robertson-Dworet. Updates have been sparse on the project since.

Untitled Harley Quinn and Joker Movie
Release date: Unknown
What we know: The only things currently known about the film are that stars Margot Robbie and Jared Leto are set to appear in the film, which has Glenn Ficarra and John Requa of Crazy, Stupid, Love attached to direct.

Deadshot
Release date: Unknown
What we know: The first news of a Deadshot film came about when Gotham City Sirens was taking big strides. The film was said to be in development, but that's the only news that was ever reported. It could no longer be on the table anymore for all we know.

Justice League Dark
Release date: Unknown
What we know: Another tumultuous project, Justice League Dark started as a film from the ever-busy Guillermo del Toro featuring the likes of Swamp Thing, Hellblazer, Etrigan, The Spectre, Madame Xanadu, Deadman, and Zatanna. Del Toro left the project in 2015 which would later nab Doug Liman as director, who would also depart less than a year later. Most recently Gerard Johnstone has been hired to write the film.

Black Adam
Release date: Unknown
What we know: No longer a part of the Shazam! movie proper, Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam will now have his own solo movie. Adam Sztykiel is set to write the film though no director has been set. Rumors continue to circulate about when the character might actually first appear on the big screen, including possible appearances in Aquaman or Suicide Squad 2.

Justice League 2
Release date: Unknown
What we know: Originally it was announced that Justice League would be a two-parter with a sequel set to follow the 2017 film. Since then, however, Zack Snyder is no longer involved in the DCEU and there doesn't seem to be anything new about the sequel and the long-awaited Darkseid.

Lobo
Release date: Unknown
What we know: A Lobo feature film has long been in development at Warner Bros., but it was back in 2016 that Wonder Woman scribe Jason Fuchs signed on to pen the script. There have been no announcements on the project, with not even a casting announcement or director attached.

Man of Steel 2
Release date: Unknown
What we know: A sequel to the 2013 movie has been in development for years, with progress starting and stalling over the years. Recently Matthew Vaughn seemed to indicate he had had discussions with the studio about directing the film, but no further updates have come about the film since that time.

Untitled Joker Elseworlds Movie
Release date: Unknown
What we know: It was announced earlier this year that DC was considering a film imprint that would create standalone movies separate from the larger DCEU continuity, the first of which is a Joker-centric movie. Jared Leto will not appear as the clown prince of crime. The Hangover‘s Todd Phillips will direct the movie and co-write the script with Scott Silver (8 Mile, The Figher). It was later reported that Leonardo DiCaprio was being eyed for the role, but nothing as of yet has come from those reports.

Deathstroke
Release date: Unknown
What we know: This is the most recent film added to the slate with The Raid filmmaker Gareth Evans set to write and direct it and Joe Manganiello attached to play the one-eye'd assassin.
