Tamil star Vikram’s one of the most appreciated films, Anniyan, also known as Aparichithudu in Telugu and Aparichit in Hindi, is all set to hit the theaters again. The 2005 action thriller is immensely popular among the Indian audience. The Tamil movie was dubbed in several languages, including Telugu and Hindi. Moreover, the movie was also dubbed in French and widely appreciated. As it has been almost two decades since the movie’s release, its Telugu version is rereleasing.
Aparichithudu is among the very few movies based on Multiple Personality Disorder. It stars Vikram playing a dual role in a unique way. Besides Vikram, actors like Sadha, Prakash Raj, Yana Gupta, Vivek, and others played supporting characters.
When will Vikram’s Aparichithudu rerelease in theaters?
Several Tamil and Telugu movies are making their comeback to the silver screens. The latest announcement has revealed that Aparichithudu is all set to rerelease in a few days. It is to be noted that only the movie’s Telugu version is hitting the theaters. The movie will arrive in the cinemas on May 17, 2024. The announcement read, “Telugu version of #ChiyaanVikram’s BlockBuster #Anniyan re-release on May 17.”
Aparichithudu follows the story of Ramanujam, a man who suffers from multiple personality disorder. While he works as a lawyer by the day, he turns into a vigilante at night. The movie’s story takes many interesting turns as he punishes criminals without his other personality knowing it. He aims to bring peace to the society.
On the work front, Vikram was last seen playing Aditha Karikalan in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan film franchise. The actor is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie Thangalaan, based on true events of mine workers’ lives in the Kolar Gold Fields of Karnataka. The movie is expected to release in June and clash with Dhanush’s Raayan.
