• The American Psycho held a workshop and plans to hold a private presentation for producers soon. Benjamin Walker is Patrick Bateman. Reeve Carney, Christopher Hanke, Kacie Sheik and Libby Winters also participated in the workshop. [NY Times]

• The band Arcade Fire has been shooting a horror film in their spare time. They doubt it will go theatrical, however. [Exclaim]

• John Landis is signing copies of his book “Monsters in the Movies: 100 Years of Cinematic Nightmares” on October 5 at Dark Delicacies in Burbank, California. [DarkDel.com]

• Universal teamed with Apple and Android devices for ItWillBecomeYou.com which features a number of ways to scare your friends and spread some promotion for the October 14 release The Thing.

• A Facebook page has been set up for Enemy of My Enemy, an indie film set in the year 2021 that tosses vampires, zombies, humans and “zompires” into a post-apocalyptic story.

• The History Channel will air Zombies: A Living History on October 25 at 8pm. “The special details how Europe’s Black Plague became one of the most prolific periods for myths and legends about zombies, explores why Viking legends believed zombies were nearly indestructible except by decapitation or immolation; examines other zombie legends from around the world, including secret stories of China’s Terra Cotta Warriors and the voodoo rituals of Haiti; and shows how modern science added a whole new twist on zombies beginning with Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.” [Zap2It.com]
