WWE RAW star Bron Breakker received massive praise and was compared to WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg. Breakker received the comparison from none other than another WWE Hall of Famer, Eric Bischoff.
Bron Breakker, who is the son of WCW legend Rick Steiner, recently made his transition to the main roster. Since his arrival, Bron Breakker has been dominating his opponents in one-sided victories.
On Twitter recently, Eric Bischoff responded to a wrestling account’s comparison between WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg and rising star Bron Breakker. Bischoff noted that although Breakker shares similarities with Goldberg as an incredible athlete, he is being groomed for the big stage instead of being rushed into it.
Another comment implied that if Bron Breakker were in AEW, there wouldn’t be as much hype surrounding him. Bischoff clarified that in such a scenario, Bron might not have developed as significantly and could have been part of chaotic matches lacking depth.
Eric Bischoff has been openly critical of Tony Khan’s product presented in AEW, and there’s clearly no love lost between them. Fans are now showing agreement with Bischoff’s assessment, as seen in attendance numbers and ratings for AEW shows.
WWE RAW general manager Adam Pearce suspends Bron Breakker
RAW general manager Adam Pearce acquired Breakker from SmackDown at the WWE draft. However, since Breakker’s arrival on the red brand, he has become a problem for Pearce. Breakker expressed frustration with Pearce for not including him in the King of the Ring tournament. This frustration boiled over last week on RAW when Breakker attacked Kale Dixxon after his match and later confronted Ricochet backstage, leading to his suspension from WWE.
This week, during a match between Ricochet and Ilja Dragunov, Bron Breakker interrupted the match and delivered devastating spears to both stars. This led to a heated face-to-face confrontation between Adam Pearce and Bron Breakker. Given their confrontation, it seems likely that Breakker will attack Pearce given the opportunity, making it only a matter of time before tensions escalate further.
