Gunther’s Reaction to Advancing in WWE’s King of the Ring Tournament Finals

Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther has now advanced to the King of the Ring Tournament finals. Gunther, who defeated Sheamus and Kofi Kingston in the earlier rounds to advance to the semifinals, faced off against Main Eventer Jey Uso in the semifinals.

On the latest episode of WWE RAW, Gunther confronted Jey Uso in the main event. Although Gunther was heavily favored to win, he came close to losing the match. In the match’s climax, Gunther delivered several chops to Uso in the corner. However, Jey Uso responded with a spear that accidentally knocked down the referee.

Climbing to the top rope, Jey Uso gave the Uso Splash on Gunther, attempting a pin, but he managed to kick out just in time. Following this, he retaliated with more chops and then applied a sleeper hold on Jey Uso, prompting the referee to ring the bell for the win.

After the win, WWE RAW quickly went off the air, and fans didn’t even get to see Gunther’s celebration. However, WWE’s official Instagram page posted a video of The Ring General’s reaction. Gunther is seen walking backstage, stating that there’s not much to say following his victory over Jey Uso.
