WWE Superstar Sheamus has sent a message to the fans following his loss against Gunther. On the latest edition of WWE RAW, the King of the Ring tournament qualifiers began with Sheamus and Gunther facing off in the main event.
The match lived up to the expectations of the fans, with both stars giving their all. Ultimately, Gunther secured the victory by making the Sheamus submit to a half crab. Following his loss to Gunther, Sheamus has made a significant statement about his future matches against The Ring General.
Taking it to Twitter, Sheamus stated that there would be no rematch against the former Intercontinental Champion, Gunther.
This was the third time both stars faced each other. Previously, they faced off at Clash of The Castle in 2022 in England, where Gunther defeated Sheamus. The second encounter was at WWE WrestleMania 39 in a triple threat match, where, once again, The Ring General prevailed.
Their third match was no different, as Gunther defeated the Celtic Warrior once again. It appears that Sheamus is in no mood to face Gunther again after losing to him three times.
Gunther’s next challenge: Facing a former WWE Champion
The latest edition of WWE RAW saw three superstars advance into the second round of the King of the Ring tournament: Jey Uso, Ilja Dragunov, and Gunther. In the second round, Jey Uso will face Ilja Dragunov, while Gunther’s opponent is yet to be determined. However, with the brackets revealed, it appears that the Ring General will be facing off against a former WWE Champion in the second round.
The next match in the King of the Ring tournament is between Kofi Kingston and Rey Mysterio. It was announced on WWE RAW that the match will take place this week at a WWE live event.
The winner of the Kingston vs Mysterio match will face the Ring General in the second round. These second-round matches are scheduled to take place next week on WWE RAW.
