There has been a new update on former AEW World Champion MJF’s medical condition. MJF, who has been rehabilitating from injury, lost his title to Samoa Joe at AEW World’s End in December. Having held the title for 406 days, the wrestler has not appeared on AEW programming since losing the title.
Following the AEW World’s End pay-per-view, reports emerged that Maxwell would take time off due to a shoulder injury sustained during his title reign. To write him off television, his best friend Adam Cole betrayed him by revealing himself as The Devil. After this revelation, Cole’s new faction, Undisputed Kingsdom, brutally attacked MJF at World’s End.
WrestlePurists have revealed that MJF underwent shoulder surgery. He aimed for a March return and met with Tony Khan in Boston to discuss creative plans. The injuries to MJF and Adam Cole have significantly affected creative plans for the MJF vs. Undisputed Kingdom feud. There are yet to be announcements on his return.
Adam Cole, who suffered an ankle injury in September, was recently seen at AEW Dynasty following Roderick Strong’s retention of his AEW International title. Cole even teased a feud with his own faction member, Wardlow, when the former stared intensely at him.
AEW star MJF recently spotted amid surgery reports

His schedule included autograph signings and photo sessions with fans. Amid reports of him undergoing the surgery, he was seen wearing a sling on his left arm. The famous wrestling fan Brock Lesnar Guy shared a video of his interaction with MJF on Instagram.
