WWE fans are eagerly anticipating the potential involvement of wrestling legend Rikishi in the intensifying rivalry between Jimmy and Jey Uso. The feud between the two cousins ignited at the SummerSlam when Jimmy’s interference cost Jey his WWE Championship match against Roman Reigns.
Following the incident, Jey has been competing on RAW while Jimmy has aligned himself with The Bloodline on SmackDown. However, fans were treated with a glimpse of their confrontation at the Royal Rumble when both brothers entered at numbers one and two. Speculation is rife that Jimmy and Jey Uso are headed for a showdown at WrestleMania 40, with their father, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi, potentially playing a role in the storyline.
At Monopoly Events’ For The Love of Wrestling convention in Manchester, UK, Rikishi hinted at his involvement when fans asked about the rumored match. He stated, “I think it’s going to be a good match for WrestleMania. But there’s just a piece missing in that match. What do you guys think? There’s a piece missing. We’ve got Jey Vs. Jimmy. But there’s just that [piece missing.] Is it #WeWantRikishi?”
This has sparked curiosity among fans, leaving them wondering if WWE plans to incorporate Rikishi in the anticipated match at WrestleMania 40.
Jimmy Uso strikes again costing Jey Uso yet another match
Meanwhile, Jimmy Uso claimed to act in defense of his brother, Jey Uso, when he betrayed him at SummerSlam. Since then, he has consistently interfered with Jey’s plans. In October, Jimmy also sabotaged Jey’s chance to defend the tag team titles against The Judgement Day.
Last week on Raw, Jimmy’s distraction led to Jey’s defeat in his Intercontinental Championship match against Gunther. During this week’s episode of RAW, Jimmy once again intervened. As a result, Jey lost in the main event match against Drew McIntyre. However, Seth Rollins came to Jey’s aid, only to be later attacked by his WrestleMania 40 opponent, Drew McIntyre.
