Former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal has fired back at AEW President Tony Khan following Khan’s criticism. The controversy began when the official USA Network account on X (formerly Twitter) referred to Cagematch ratings in response to a tweet from Raj Giri, discussing the history between Mahal and the current World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.
AEW President Tony Khan took to X, stating what he perceived as a double standard in fan reactions. Khan questioned the wrestling community’s outrage over Hook, who has a 28-1 record and is challenging Samoa Joe for the AEW World Title. Meanwhile, Jinder Mahal, who has experienced a string of losses in the past year, is receiving a seemingly random opportunity for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins.
In response, the Modern Day Maharaja, Jinder Mahal, directly addressed Tony Khan’s tweet, questioning the identity of the FTW Champion, Hook. However, the Modern Day Maharaja eventually removed all of his responses related to the situation from X.

It will be interesting to see if AEW President Tony Khan responds to former WWE champion Jinder Mahal. Additionally, WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff has also entered the situation, sparking a back-and-forth exchange between Bischoff and Khan.

The segment concluded with both stars engaging in a brawl, leading to Mahal eventually retreating from the ring.
Expressing his goals on Raw Talk, Mahal stated, “It’s my objective to regain respect. It’s my objective to no longer be overlooked, overlooked by the WWE Universe, overlooked by the World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.”
