Rhea Ripley is one of the stars excited to see what Jade Cargill brings to the ring after the latter signed with WWE earlier this September.
Speaking to Sporting News Australia, the WWE Women’s champion shared her thoughts on Cargill joining, while also adding that she was keen to get into the ring with her.
“I’m very excited to see what she brings to WWE. I really am,” Rhea Ripley said. “She’s a big name, and a lot of people are watching and waiting for her debut. We don’t know which brand she’s gonna be on yet. It could be Raw. It could be SmackDown. It could be NXT. No one really knows exactly what’s going on. “
Rhea Ripley also added, “If it is Raw, that’s my show. Mami runs Raw. The Judgment Day, we run Raw. So if Jade wants to come to my brand, then I would love to step in the ring with her and show her exactly why Mami’s always on top.”
The former AEW TBS champion made her maiden backstage appearance on SmackDown last Friday, featuring a face-off between her and ‘The Queen’ Charlotte Flair.
Jade Cargill and Charlotte Flair’s encounter was brief and tense
Jade Cargill‘s appearance on Friday marked her third on WWE programming. Her official on-camera debut was on WWE Fastlane, followed by the second on WWE NXT. Both the looks were backstage segments.
The Flair encounter was also her first on-camera meeting with another star. According to Wrestling Inc., the segment was dubbed “brief, but memorable” as Flair came face-to-face with Cargill who just smiled at her.
The site added that Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque was about to introduce the two fighters to each other, but Flair knew who it was. The two reportedly had a tense exchange before the latter walked away.
Following their brief encounter, rumor mills are churning that Cargill’s first WWE fight will be against Flair. But only time will tell how a potential clash between Cargill and Rhea Ripley will pan out.
