Yellowstone star Ian Bohen, who plays the role of ranch hand Ryan, teased the upcoming conclusion of Paramount Network’s popular Western drama.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Bohen promised awaiting fans that Yellowstone Season 5’s ending will be one of the “best series finale” in TV history. The series is expected to return sometime in November 2024 for the second part of its fifth and final season.
“The fans are going to get the [best] conclusion that could possibly be written. Everything will land in a way that is perfectly set. A lot of shows just kind of finish . . . and they don’t satisfy you. This will be completed in a way that it will make sense. I don’t know that any show has finished this strongly ever,” he continued. “We’re expecting to have the best series finale in history. Overconfident maybe, but I think that’s what it’s going to be. We thank everyone for their patience . . . It’ll be worth the wait, I promise.”
Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 Won’t Feature Kevin Costner
Last year, it was reported that lead star Kevin Costner won’t be reprising his role as John Dutton III in Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2. His exit was reportedly due to scheduling conflicts with Costner’s movie project and creative differences. Despite its impending ending, it has been confirmed that a Yellowstone sequel is currently in development.
“The series chronicles the Dutton family, led by John Dutton, who controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States,” reads the synopsis. “Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect — the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders – an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.”
Yellowstone is created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson. It currently stars Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White, Forrie Smith, Denim Richards, Ian Bohen, Finn Little, Ryan Bingham, Gil Birmingham, Jen Landon, and Kathryn Kelly.
