Set to have its “sickening” return on January 5, 2024, the trailer for RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 16 teases 14 new competing queens, new twists, and high-profile personalities gracing the guest panel.
The trailer introduced the arrival of a new twist called Rate-a-Queen, where the contenders will have a chance to judge one another during the first Maxi challenge. Moreover, although the trailer didn’t explain it further, the upcoming season will have a so-called “immunity,” which is expected to save a certain queen from elimination.
Along with the game-changing twist, the trailer also teased several A-list guest judges for Season 16, including Becky G, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Adam Shankman, Isaac Mizrahi, Jamal Sims, Joel Kim Booster, Kaia Gerber, Kelsea Ballerini, Kyra Sedgwick, Law Roach, Mayan Lopez, Ronan Farrow, and Academy Award-winning actress Charlize Theron.
