Emmanuelle Chriqui Cast as Lana Lang in The CW's Superman & Lois

Emmanuelle Chriqui Cast as Lana Lang in The CW’s Superman & Lois

Following the recent addition of Dylan Walsh as General Lane, Deadline reports that another popular DC character will be making its way to The CW‘s forthcoming new Arrowverse series Superman & Lois with Entourage alum Emmanuelle Chriqui officially signing on as a series regular for the role of Lana Lang-Cushing. She will be joining the titular leads Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch.

Chriqui’s Lana Lang is described as a loan officer at Smallville Bank who stayed in Smallville when others left for something bigger and brighter. Lana reestablishes her friendship with her old friend, Clark Kent, during one of the most difficult periods in her life. The character was previously portrayed by Kristin Kreuk in the fan-favorite Tom Welling-led Superman series which ran on-air for ten seasons from 2001-2011.

Superman & Lois will follow the story of Superman, the world’s most famous Super Hero, and Lois Lane, comic books’ most famous journalist as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society. In Elseworlds, while Kara was visiting Clark and Lois at the Kent Farm, the couple revealed that Lois was pregnant with their first child. Due to Oliver Queen’s sacrifice in Crisis on Infinite Earths, the Arrowverse’s multiverse had officially restarted as Supergirl’s Earth has now been merged with The Flash and Arrow’s Earth. Clark and Lois’s lives were also affected by the timeline change with their only son Jonathan becoming one-half of twin boys.

Joining Tyler Hoechlin’s Clark Kent/Superman and Elizabeth Tulloch’s Loise Lane are previously announced cast members Jordan Elsass and Alexander Garfin, portraying the roles of Jonathan and Jordan Kent, respectively.
