It’s amazing how I can If I Stay, an upcoming drama starring Chloe Moretz from director R.J. Cutler (The September Issue) and writer Shauna Cross (Whip It, What to Expect When You’re Expecting).
The film hits theaters on August 22 and centers around a car accident that leaves 17-year-old Mia (Moretz) in a coma and kills the rest of her family. Along with Moretz, the film co-stars Mireille Enos, Liana Liberato, Jamie Blackley, Lauren Lee Smith, Joshua Leonard and Aisha Hinds.
Now I’m still trying to get some more statistics to put something together, but it shouldn’t come as any surprise when we forget about a movie or don’t even know it exists in the first place. Did you know that in 1995 only 370 movies were released in theaters whereas in 2013 there were 659 movies released? And that 2013 number was down from the year prior as 2012 has the record for the number of films released in one year at 677.
With the rise in television quality and that many movies being released how the hell can any of us keep up, let alone decide what to watch? Speaking of, any of you plan on catching this movie?
