Paramount Pictures has shared a brand new Transformers One trailer for the highly-anticipated animated prequel, which centers around young versions of Optimus Prime and Megatron.
“The film is the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies, but once were friends bonded like brothers who changed the fate of Cybertron forever,” reads the synopsis.

When is the Transformers One release date?
Transformers One is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on September 20, 2024, pitting it directly against Brad Pitt & George Clooney’s reunion movie Wolfs. It will also be debuting in the same month as other high-profile movies like Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Speak No Evil, The Killer’s Game, The Wild Robot, and Megalopolis.
Described as the first-ever fully CG-animated Transformers movie, the prequel is directed by Josh Cooley from a screenplay written by Andrew Barer, Steve Desmond, Gabriel Ferrari, and Michael Sherman. It will feature the voices of Chris Hemsworth as Orion/Optimus Prime, Scarlett Johansson as Elita, Brian Tyree Henry as D-16/Megatron, Keegan-Michael Key as Bumblebee, Jon Hamm as Sentinel Prime, and Laurence Fishburne as Alpha Trion, with Steve Buscemi.
The film is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Zev Foreman, Olivier Dumont, Bradley J. Fischer, B.J. Farmer, and Matt Quigg. Producers are Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Tom DeSanto, Don Murphy, Michael Bay, Mark Vahradian, and Aaron Dem.
