ComingSoon is excited to debut an exclusive Transformers One video featuring Keegan-Michael Key, who plays B-127/Bumblebee in the animated movie. Key discusses the excitement in taking part of the Transformers origin story. Paramount will release the film exclusively in theaters on September 20, 2024.
“The film is the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies, but once were friends bonded like brothers who changed the fate of Cybertron forever,” reads the synopsis.

Who is in Transformers One?
Described as the first-ever fully CG-animated Transformers movie, the film will feature the voices of Hemsworth as Orion/Optimus Prime, Brian Tyree Henry as D-16/Megatron, Keegan-Michael Key as Bumblebee, Scarlett Johansson as Elita, Jon Hamm as Sentinel Prime, Laurence Fishburne as Alpha Trion, and Steve Buscemi as Starscream.
The prequel is directed by Josh Cooley from a screenplay written by Andrew Barer, Steve Desmond, Gabriel Ferrari, and Michael Sherman. It is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Zev Foreman, Olivier Dumont, Bradley J. Fischer, B.J. Farmer, and Matt Quigg. Producers are Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Tom DeSanto, Don Murphy, Michael Bay, Mark Vahradian, and Aaron Dem.
