What is Bad Boys: Ride or Die about?
“This summer, the world’s favorite Bad Boys are back with their iconic mix of edge-of-your-seat action and outrageous comedy but this time with a twist: Miami’s finest are now on the run,” the official synopsis reads.
Bad Boys: Ride or Die is directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who also directed Bad Boys for Life and Warner Bros.’ canceled Batgirl movie. The script was written by Chris Bremner, who also co-wrote Bad Boys for Life.
Along with Smith and Lawrence, Bad Boys: Ride or Die stars Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Nuñez, Eric Dane, Ioan Gruffudd, Jacob Scipio, Melanie Liburd, Tasha Smith, Tiffany Haddish, and Joe Pantoliano.
The movie is produced by Smith, Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman, and Doug Belgrad. Lawrence, Barry Waldman, Mike Stenson, James Lassiter, Jon Mone, and Bremner serve as executive producers.
Released in 1995, the first Bad Boys movie was directed by Michael Bay and also starred Téa Leoni and Tchéky Karyo. The sequel, Bad Boys 2, followed in 2003 and was again directed by Bay, while Bad Boys for Life then came in 2020. Bay opted not to return to helm Bad Boys for Life; however, he had a brief cameo in the film.
Bad Boys: Ride or Die releases in United States movie theaters on June 7, 2024, from Sony Pictures Entertainment.
