The very web of life on Earth is being threatened in what scientists are calling a ‘Sixth Mass Extinction.’ This pioneering feature documents the work of major zoological organizations that can only be called nature’s last arks of hope in preserving the rich legacy of life on our planet. Without this help – and the global engagement of the public – the biological treasures we hope to bequeath to our children and our grandchildren may disappear forever within a generation.
Featuring rare footage of endangered animals as well as interviews with the world’s leading animal welfare specialists and conservation scientists working to protect and preserve animals from all seven of Earth’s continents, this hard-hitting feature spotlights critical efforts that may be among the last, best chances to preserve one million species on the brink of disappearing forever.

The film will screen for the first time to buyers at this month’s Toronto International Film Festival through Kaleidoscope Film Distribution and premiere at the Breckinridge Film Festival on September 19. Additional fall film festival screenings to be announced. Escape From Extinction is directed and produced by Matthew Brady of MRB Productions and is expected to be released in the fall of 2020.
