The Your Monster release date has been set, with Vertical releasing a brand new poster for the upcoming horror rom-com starring Melissa Barrera.
Your Monster is written and directed by Caroline Lindy and follows the story of an actor (Barrera) who is dumped by her boyfriend as she’s recovering from surgery and subsequently finds a connection with a monster.
The Your Monster release date has been set for October 25, 2024, when the film will premiere in theaters just ahead of Halloween. Alongside the release date, the poster of the film is out, showing off a human and creature forming a heart with their hands.

What do we know about Your Monster?
“Your Monster tells the story of the soft-spoken actor Laura Franco (Melissa Barrera), who is dumped by her longtime boyfriend (Edmund Donovan) while recovering from surgery and retreats to her childhood home to recover,” reads the official synopsis for the film. “With her future looking bleak, insult is added to injury when Laura discovers her ex is staging a musical that she helped him develop. But out of these gut-wrenching life changes emerges a monster (Tommy Dewey) with whom she finds a connection, encouraging Laura to follow her dreams, open her heart and fall in love with her inner rage.”
For Barrera, the film will be her next following 2024’s Abigail, which also saw Barrera once again acting in the world of horror comedy. Barrera will also star in the upcoming biographical drama film The Collaboration, which tells the story of the collaboration between Andy Warhol and Jean-Michael Basquiat in the 1980s.
