Who is Involved in the New Jurassic World?
Scarlett Johansson has reportedly been offered the lead role in the new Jurassic World. Johansson has not accepted the role but has been in talks with Universal and Amblin Entertainment.
The upcoming Jurassic World film was announced in February 2024, with David Leitch on board to direct and David Koepp to pen the script. However, Leitch departed the project, and Gareth Edwards (The Creator) replaced him. Edwards reportedly impressed producers Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall, leading to a deal shortly after.
Spielberg will executive produce through Amblin, with Marshall and Patrick Crowley producing through Kennedy-Marshall.
The 2025 movie will be a new take on the Jurassic World franchise. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, the two stars of the Jurassic World trilogy, are not expected to return. Jurassic Park’s original stars — Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, and Laura Dern — are also not likely to appear.
