Ahead of her acting comeback in Jamie Foxx’s upcoming action comedy Back in Action, it seems like Cameron Diaz is already looking for her next project.
According to Deadline, the Charlie’s Angels vet has entered negotiations to join John Wick star Keanu Reeves in Apple Original Films‘ dark comedy movie Outcome, which has been in-development since 2022. Further details about her potential character are still under wraps.
What is Outcome about?
“The story follows Reef (Reeves), a damaged Hollywood star who must dive into the dark depths of his past to confront his demons and make amends after he is extorted with a mysterious video clip,” reads the synopsis.
Outcome will be directed by actor-director Jonah Hill from a screenplay he co-wrote with Ezra Woods. This marks Hill’s second directorial effort following his 2018 coming-of-age drama Mid 90s. It is being production by Hill, Matt Dines and Ali Goodwin for Strong Baby. The upcoming dark comedy isn’t the only movie that Hill is currently working with Apple Original Films, as he’s also producing and starring in an untitled Grateful Dead biopic which will be directed by Martin Scorsese.
Besides Outcome, Reeves will next be seen in another comedy titled Good Fortune, which is being directed by Aziz Ansari. The film will also star Keke Palmer and Seth Rogen. In addition, he is set to reprise his iconic role as John Wick in the long-delayed Ballerina spin-off with Ana de Armas.
