During Disney‘s financial report on Wednesday, the company revealed many plans for the prospective future. They also set release date windows for some highly anticipated movies, including Toy Story 5.
According to Disney, the fifth installment in the long-running Toy Story series will release in 2026, alongside Frozen 3. Both films didn’t receive exact release dates, however, so they are subject to change as we get closer to them.
As for Zootopia 2, Disney confirmed that the movie is set to release on November 26, 2025, setting not only its future calendar for films, but also setting an exact date for the Zootopia sequel.
What do we know about these upcoming Disney movies?
While we don’t know too much about any of these projects as of yet, Bob Iger has spoken in passing about the third, and even potential fourth, entry in the Frozen franchise.
“Frozen 3 is in the works, and there might be a Frozen 4 in the works too,” Iger last year, via Variety. “But I don’t have much to say about those films right now. [Director] Jenn Lee, who created the original Frozen and Frozen 2, is hard at work with her team at Disney animation on not one but actually two stories.”
As for Toy Story, the latest film, Toy Story 4, was released in 2019 to stellar reviews. Zootopia was released in 2016 to equally rave reviews, and quickly became a big hit for Disney.
