Phil Lord, one of the writers and producers on Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, has promised that the sequel’s ending will be satisfying.
Speaking with Deadline on the Golden Globes red carpet, Lord teased what fans can expect from the final installment in the animated Spider-Verse trilogy, including a more “emotionally deep” look at the film’s characters.
“It will be a very satisfying conclusion,” Lord said. “It goes even more emotionally deep into the relationships between Miles, Gwen, Peter B., [and Miles’] parents.”
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse currently has no release date. It was originally set for release on March 29, 2024, but has been taken off the calendar.

The previous film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, was released last year. It was directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson.
