Following its successful theatrical release, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will finally be available for streaming on Netflix in the U.S. starting on October 31. However, it’s still unclear when will the critically-acclaimed animated sequel will arrive in other Netflix territories.
During its theatrical run, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was able to garner a worldwide gross of $690 million, surpassing it predecessor’s box office haul. It is currently Sony Pictures’ highest-grossing movie of 2023. Just like its 2018 predecessor, the sequel has also received universal acclaim for its groundbreaking animation and thrilling storyline.
Who’s involved in Across the Spider-Verse?
Across the Spider-Verse was directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson. It featured the voices of Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy, Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker, Issa Rae as Spider-Woman, Daniel Kaluuya as Spider-Punk, Karan Soni as Spider-Man India, Oscar Isaac as Spider-Man 2099, Jason Schwartzman as The Spot, Brian Tyree Henry as Jefferson Davis, Luna Lauren Velez as Rio Morales, Greta Lee as Lyla, Andy Samberg, and more.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was produced by Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, and Christina Steinberg with Alonzo Ruvalcaba. Aditya Sood and the first film’s director, Peter Ramsey were executive producing. The 2023 sequel will be followed by a third installment titled Beyond the Spider-Verse.
