Magnet Releasing has revealed its upcoming religious horror movie Deliver Us will be heading to theaters and VOD next month.
Before a wide release, the film will have its world premiere as an opening night selection at the Popcorn Frights Film Festival in Fort Lauderdale, on August 10, 2023. Then it will ascend to theaters and VOD on September 29, 2023.
The announcement also came with a fresh trailer that highlights the apocalyptic plot:
What is Deliver Us about?
The story of Deliver Us is sparked by a nun in a remote convent who claims to be pregnant by immaculate conception. The Vatican sends a team of priests to investigate. It’s feared this nun could be the start of an ancient prophecy and that she will give birth to twins, one the Messiah, the other the Anti-Christ.
Deliver Us is directed by Lee Roy Kunz and Cru Ennis who previously collaborated on the 2013 thriller Delirium. The movie stars Thomas Kretschmann (Infinity Pool, King Kong), Alexander Siddig (Clash of the Titans, Reign of Fire), and Markho Leht (Wonder Woman).
