News broke late last month that Warner Bros. Pictures was looking for a female director to take on the Wonder Woman movie, and now we know who they were eyeing.
According to Variety, Warner Bros. Pictures is in negotiations with Michelle MacLaren to direct the June 23, 2017 release, starring Gal Gadot. Charles Roven will produce.
Gadot will first appear as Wonder Woman in director Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, hitting theaters on March 25, 2016.
MacLaren was a director and producer of “Breaking Bad” and has directed episodes of “Games of Thrones” and “The Walking Dead” as well.
