Lotus Entertainment has come aboard to co-finance and co-produce Sacha Gervasi’s (Hitchcock, Anival: The Story of Anvil) November Criminals, starring Chloë Grace Moretz (The Equalizer, If I Stay) and two-time Academy Award nominee Catherine Keener (Captain Phillips, Capote). The screenplay has been adapted by Academy Award nominee Steven Knight (Locke, Eastern Promises) from Sam Munson’s novel.
November Criminals follows two teenagers into the dangerous underbelly of Washington DC as they decide to investigate the murder of their friend while falling in love for the first time.
“Lotus is excited to be collaborating with Beth O’Neil and Sacha Gervasi in bringing Sam Munson and Steve Knight’s authentic characters to life,” said Ara Keshishian, President of Lotus Entertainment. “This is a beautiful love story between two teenagers set against the backdrop of a murder mystery, and its thrilling to have an amazing cast taking shape led by Chloe and Catherine.”
Beth O’Neil (Jack Goes Boating) will produce alongside Lotus, who is also handling international sales starting at the AFM. CAA and WME are co-repping the domestic sale.
