Day Shift: Dave Franco, Steve Howey & more join cast
The Netflix vampire hunter film Day Shift starring Jamie Foxx has fleshed out its cast. Deadline reports that Dave Franco (The Disaster Artist), Steve Howey (Shameless), C.S. Lee (Dexter), Natasha Liu Bordizzo (The Society) and Oliver Masucci (Dark) have joined J.J. Perry’s directorial debut. The cast rounds out with Franco, who recently released his directorial debut The Rental, and major television series players.
Perry is known for his work as a second unit director and stunt coordinator of action films like The Fast and the Furious and Bloodshot.
Jamie Foxx serves as an executive producer in addition to starring in the film. Day Shift was developed and produced by Chad Stahelski (John Wick) through his company 87Eleven Entertainment.

In Day Shift, Foxx stars as a hard-working blue-collar dad who just wants to provide a good life for his quick-witted 8-year old daughter. However, his mundane San Fernando Valley pool cleaning job is a front for his real source of income, hunting and killing vampires.
Perry will direct from a screenplay written by Shay Hatten (John Wick 3 & 4, Army of the Dead) based on the original script penned by Tyler Tice. The Netflix streaming release will be produced by Stahelski and Jason Spitz for 87Eleven Entertainment along with Impossible Dream Entertainment’s Shaun Redick and Yvette Yates Redick. It will be executive produced by Foxx, Datari Turner, and Peter Baxter.
