First announced back in 2009, director Scott Hicks (Shine, The Lucky One has cast the leads of his upcoming young adult novel adaptation, Fallen. Deadline reports that Addison Timlin (Stand Up Guys, “Californication”) and Jeremy Irvine (War Horse, “Life Bites”) will play Luce Price and Daniel Grigori, respectively.
Fallen, the first book in an ongoing series by Lauren Kate, was published in 2009 and is officially described as follows:

Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Prices attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. Price herself is supplying the screenplay, writing with Nicole Millard. Mark Ciardi, Goron Gray, Bill Johnson and Jim Seibel are producing with Claudia Bluemhuber executive producing.
