For fans lamenting the postponed San Diego Comic-Con this year, Sideshow Collectibles has declared ‘The Con is On!’ 2021 marks the return of Sideshow Con – Sideshow’s popular spin on the now-commonplace virtual con, which will take place July 19– July 25, 2021. While most of SDCC’s exhibitors took their booths online for digital events in 2020, Sideshow Con centered around a real-world physical booth space. A custom-made installation that recreated Sideshow’s Comic Con exhibition/art gallery-style presence.

This exhibition-style setup featured hundreds of statues, figures, art prints, and collectibles, and enabled fans from all over the world to engage with Sideshow’s team for 7 whole days, exploring a physical space from the comfort of their own homes. Fans had live access to HD streams of all of the new reveals from Sideshow and their brand partners, as well as a wealth of show-exclusive products, discounts, contests, and more!

Now, in 2021, Sideshow plans to raise the bar even higher…

The Force is strong with this Star Wars collectible. Sideshow is proud to present the Luke Skywalker Deluxe Sixth Scale Figure from Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.

The Luke Skywalker Deluxe Sixth Scale Figure captures Luke’s journey through Return of the Jedi with an incredible variety of customizable display options. Recreate key scenes from the Star Wars saga with the three distinct looks included with the Luke Skywalker Deluxe figure- Jabba’s Palace Luke, Endor Luke, and Jedi Knight Luke.

Travel to Jabba’s Palace with the Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker in disguise. Featuring a detailed portrait of the character’s appearance in Star Wars Episode VI, Luke Skywalker wears a hooded brown cloak over his iconic black Jedi outfit, including a long sleeve shirt and pants. The figure also includes the gray tunic and sash as worn while infiltrating the thuggish gangster’s stronghold. Remove the gray tunic and attach Luke’s black leather-like belt with a pouch and saber hook to recreate his Jedi look from his final showdown with Darth Vader.

As a collection, Sideshow’s Mythos series are fine art collectibles that allow the collector to imagine what could have been, but maybe never was. Myths meant to be initiated by the eye and completed by the mind.

The Asajj Ventress Mythos Statue measures over 22” tall as the lethal Nightsister stands poised on the growths of a Dathomirian swamp base. Beneath her feet lies a Ssurian skull snared in the vines of her home planet’s native flora as the Sith assassin wields her dual red lightsabers in preparation for battle.

The polystone Asajj Ventress Mythos Statue has PVC elements and features an intricate, fully sculpted costume in the Nightsisters’ traditional black and red hues, detailed with realistic and dynamic fabric-like movement. Her black bodice, leg guards, and gloves all have a wrapped and roughened appearance while her red hood, skirts, and the feathers adorning her shoulders are sculpted with dramatic, billowing flow.

Sideshow and Prime 1 Studio are proud to present the Sengoku Joker (Deluxe Version) from Batman Ninja (Animated Film). From the top creators of Japan, Batman Ninja is a Japanese animated film directed by Junpei Mizusaki (“Opening Animation for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Series”).

Batman Ninja takes a journey across the ages as Gorilla Grodd’s time displacement machine transports many of Batman’s worst enemies to feudal Japan – along with the Dark Knight and a few of his allies. The villains take over the forms of the feudal lords that rule the divided land, with the Joker taking the lead among the warring factions. As his traditional high-tech weaponry is exhausted almost immediately, Batman must rely on his intellect and his allies including Catwoman and the extended Bat-family to restore order to the land and return to present-day Gotham City.

The Statue is inspired by Takashi Okazaki’s stunning design that he created for Batman Ninja Animation. It is crafted with great attention to detail. We also believe it perfectly captures the atmosphere of feudal Japan and the characteristics of Joker. The words on the flag say Devil King Of The Sixth Heaven (Dairokuten-No-Mao/ 第六天の魔王) which is a Devil King from Buddhism.

Ashley Joanna Williams also known as Ash is the anti-hero protagonist of the Evil Dead series, played by Bruce Campbell, and created by director Sam Raimi. He is most easily recognized based on his final iconic appearance armed with a sawed-off double barrel shotgun and a chainsaw strapped to the stump on his right arm where his hand once was. The Satsui no Hado has long been a cautionary tale in the Street Fighter franchise, a destructive form of Ki that exploits the baser aspects of humanity, corrupting even the purest of souls. Goutetsu taught it to his student Akuma, who embraced it, and Gouken, who recognized it’s risk, refusing to train his own disciples.

The more we were warned about it, the more we speculated on what would happen if a character as strong as Ryu forsook his education and let the Satsui consume him.

Evil Ryu is our answer, Ryu turned inside out, the surge of murderous intent awakened. He can no longer resist the evil energy within, plunging deeper into darkness with every victory. Purged of all traces of honor and decency, this is a Ryu with a blood thirst and ritualistic belligerence bordering on a feral barbarism. Assuming this anger has made him mindless would be your last mistake, however, as Dark Ryu is perhaps the most calculating and dangerous character in the game.

In Story Mode, we’ve seen Ryu flashback to his fateful fight with Sagat, how his “cheap win” still torments him. Eyes literally red with anger, he unleashed a Metsu Shoryuken so devastating it scarred Sagat’s chest. Disfiguring an opponent was anguishing enough, but what truly frightened and shamed Ryu is how much feeling that power excited him.

But was it an even more pivotal moment in the franchise than we realize?
