JTBC recently shared the Frankly Speaking episode nine trailer featuring Kang Han-Na and Go Kyung-Pyo. The romance comedy K-drama tells the story of an announcer who cannot lie and a variety show writer.
In the previous episode, Song Ki-Baek (Go Kyung-Pyo) and On Woo-Joo (Kang Han-Na) started a romantic relationship. While they didn’t put a label on their relationship, Ki-Baek planned to officially ask her out. When he returned home, he saw Woo-Joo hugging her ex-boyfriend, Kim Jung-Heon (Joo Jong-Hyuk).
The trailer for the upcoming episode nine features Ki-Baek and Han-Na facing the aftermath of the reality dating show. For context, the variety show’s fans think Choi-Hui (Han Dong-Hee) and Ki-Baek are a couple. Also, they ship Woo-Joo and Jung-Heon.

The Frankly Speaking episode nine trailer begins with Woo-Joo being thrilled over the high ratings of her dating show. It makes Ki-Baek popular, and he begins to receive attention from fans. While his life turns upside down overnight, Woo-Joo faces backlash.
Meanwhile, someone tells Jung-Heon, “He [Ki-Baek] went on Couple’s Paradise or whatever and made a complete fool of himself.” Jung-Heon seems upset with the way Ki-Baek gets all the attention. On the other hand, the top star’s fans criticize Woo-Joo for rejecting him on the dating show.
Woo-Joo also struggles at work, as her appearance on Couple’s Paradise may jeopardize her career as a variety show writer. Meanwhile, Choi-Hui is asked if she and Ki-Baek are still dating. The aftermath of the dating show’s release also affects Jung-Heon who wonders if he should retire.
Towards the trailer’s end, Ki-Baek becomes the talk of the town again for the wrong reason. He later asks Woo-Joo if she is okay. With tears in her eyes, she says, “I am not okay at all.”
