In Frankly Speaking episode 7, variety show writer Woo-Joo agrees to take her name off the show’s crew list. She enters the dating show as Jung-Heon’s ex-girlfriend. On the first day, Ki-Baek helps her fight her jitters.
Initially, the show’s producer believes that Woo-Joo is making the show boring. But then she notices Jung-Heon and Ki-Baek’s gaze on Woo-Joo and finds a love triangle. Meanwhile, Ki-Baek’s first love, Choi-Hui (Han Dong-Hee), also observes the same thing.
In the participants’ first challenge, Woo-Joo and Ki-Baek partner up and win the task. They are awarded the choice of picking a partner for the first date. Ki-Baek insists that he needs the opportunity to take Choi-Hui on their first date. On the other hand, Woo-Joo seems upset because she assumed that Ki-Baek would pick her. Meanwhile, Ki-Baek turns the first date into a lesson for Choi-Hui.
Ki-Baek reveals to her that he knows that the female participant left the show because of Choi-Hui. She realizes that he doesn’t like the former participant but has feelings for Woo-Joo. She gets jealous and tries to put Woo-Joo in a tough spot. During a friendly game of Jenga, Choi-Hui asks Jung-Heon the reason for his and Woo-Joo’s breakup. A flashback reveals that Jung-Heon lied about Woo-Joo and her family background to his mother.
The next morning, Woo-Joo and Ki-Baek are asked to pick a partner for a date. She picks her ex over Ki-Baek. The former couple spends the day together and ends with Jung-Heon expressing his feelings to her. Meanwhile, Ki-Baek goes on a date with Choi-Hui, who requests that he choose her over Woo-Joo in the finale.

In K-drama Frankly Speaking episode 7, the dating show comes to an end. In the finale, the participants have to pick a partner. On the day of the final task, Ki-Baek realizes that he has feelings for Woo-Joo. He runs to her and confesses, “I like you.”

Ki-Baek states that he saw her come home daily but didn’t have the courage to call her. Episode 7 ends with the two sharing a heart-fluttering moment, ending with a passionate kiss.
