Lee Jong-Suk’s Drama List: Big Mouth, W, Pinocchio, and More

Lee Jong-Suk has been missing from our screens for some time, but he is undoubtedly one of the most talented South Korean actors. He has shown his versatility through various projects. He is mainly known for his romantic charm but has also worked in a few thrilling dramas. As a result, Jong-Suk developed a fan following nationally and internationally.

After making his debut in 2005, Jong-Suk worked in a few prestigious dramas that earned him a top spot in the world of K-dramas. He has had quite a career graph, and his last series, Big Mouth, deserves a special mention. His acting ability and performance in the show were applauded by fans and critics. So, without further ado, let’s dive into some of his most popular K-dramas.

Big Mouth

Lee Jong-Suk plays Park Chang-Ho in Big Mouth. The thriller series revolves around Chang-Ho, a lawyer who gets dragged into a murder case and a massive drug ring. Slowly, he gets deep into the case, and while he tries his best to survive the chaos, he starts losing everything and everyone he loves. Alongside Jong-Suk, YoonA plays his wife, Go Mi-Ho.

Romance is a Bonus Book

Romance is a Bonus Book stars Lee Jong-Suk as Cha Eun-Ho, a writer and editor of a publishing house. On the other hand, Lee Na-Young stars as Kang Dan-Yi, a single mother who approaches her old friend Eun-Ho after hitting rock bottom. In the drama, Jong-Suk and Na-Young’s characters form a beautiful bond which blossoms into love later.

W

W is a fantasy rom-com with a hint of thriller and mystery. It’s a series that shows how certain turns of events make real-world girl Oh Yeon-Joo’s (Han Hyo-Joo) dream of falling in love with a fictional character, Kang Chul (Lee Jong Suk), come true. But there’s a catch: she can enter his world, but he cannot follow her into the real world. How they make it work is all about the drama. Han Hyo-Joo and Jong-Suk’s chemistry in the drama was breathtaking.

Pinocchio

Pinocchio is a series about two aspiring reporters, Choi Dal-Po (Lee Jong-Suk) and Choi In-Ha (Park Shin-Hye). Even though they have separate reasons to become journalists, they try their best to thrive in the industry. They know each other from a very young age, and in the process of becoming reporters, they develop feelings for each other. However, In-Ha has ‘Pinocchio Syndrome,’ which means she cannot lie.

While You Were Sleeping

In the drama, the South Korean actor plays the male love interest of Nam Hong-Joo (Bae Suzy), Jae Chan. The story revolves around Hong-Joo, who can see people’s deaths in her dreams. Even though she had tried to get rid of them, she couldn’t. The drama shows a beautiful chemistry between Jong-Suk and Suzy, which is a slow burn.

Doctor Stranger

Doctor Stranger is a K-drama about a genius doctor in North Korea, Park Hoon (Lee Jong-Suk), who runs away to South Korea to make some money. But that’s not it. He even tries to bring back the love of his life. The series also focused on the real-life tussle between North and South Korea. Jong-Suk received a lot of appreciation for his performance in this show. In addition to him, the drama featured Jin Se-Yeon as the female lead. Their chemistry worked out well for the audience.

As he was serving his time in the military, Lee Jong-Suk has been away from doing projects for a while. However, his recent appearance at IU‘s concert is making new waves in the media and among his fans. We cannot wait to see him again, delivering outstanding performances in K-dramas.
