The New Year of 2024 is set to be a visual fest for Korean Drama fans, especially for romance lovers. Some of the upcoming romantic K-Dramas in 2024 include Doctor Slump, Everything Will Come True, and Queen of Tears.
The year has already started with Park Min-Young’s Marry My Husband and Park Ji-Hoon’s Love Song for Illusion. While the first one is a romance-revenge drama, Ji-Hoon’s series is a fantasy romance. The end of January will be a treat to Rom-Com fans as Park Hyung-Sik and Park Shin-Hye will appear in Doctor Slump.

Doctor Slump
Doctor Slump is one of the upcoming romantic K-dramas in 2024. It is the story of Yeo Jung-Woo (Park Hyung-Sik) and Nam Ha-Neul (Park Shin-Hye). They used to be school rivals.
Jung-Woo is a top plastic surgeon but an accident throws him into a slump. Ha-Neul is an anesthesiologist who has always been focused on academics and forgot to enjoy life. Both meet during their difficult phase. They understand and comfort each other, hinting at a budding romance. Doctor Slump will premiere on January 27, 2024, on JTBC and Netflix.
Queen of Tears
Queen of Tears is set for March release with a release date yet to be announced. The upcoming K-Drama stars Kim Soo-Hyun as Baek Hyun-Woo and Kim Ji-Won as Hong Hae-In. They are a married couple where the husband is the legal director for the conglomerate Queens Group and the wife is the daughter of the family owning Queens Group.
Their marriage goes through a rough patch when a crisis hits the company. The storyline will follow the couple storming through the bad days together. It will also star Park Sung-Hoon and Kwak Dong-Yeon in pivotal roles. You can stream the series on Netflix.
Everything Will Come True
Everything Will Come True is also one of the upcoming romantic K-Dramas in 2024. Starring Kim Woo-Bin as Genie and Bae Suzy as Ga-Young, the Netflix series is a fantasy romance story between an overly sensitive genie and a cold-hearted woman.
Genie wants to come out of the lamp and live around people. One day, Ga-Young frees him and he grants her three wishes. The release date has not been announced yet.
Because I Want No Loss
Because I Want No Loss is another 2024 K-Drama, set to announce its release date soon. It is a romance comedy about a money-loving person, Son Hae-Young (Shin Min-A), and a convenience store cashier Kim Ji-Wook (Kim Young-Dae). In fear of losing a big promotion at work, have-Young decides to enter a fake marriage.
She proposes a fake wedding to Ji-Wook, who believes in doing the right thing but somehow accepts Hae-Young’s proposal. The upcoming romance K-Drama will also star My Demon’s Lee Sang-Yi, who played the second lead in Hometown Cha Cha Cha opposite Min-A.
The Love Story of Choon Hwa
Starring Go Ah-Ra and Chang Ryul, The Love Story of Choon Hwa is a 2024 K-Drama. It is set in the fictional country of Dongbangguk where Hwa Ri is a princess who has an independent mindset. She wants to marry a man of her own choice and thus begins the search.
On the top of the list is an anonymous person who drew her as the lead character of a Chunhwa (erotic painting). Chang Rul’s Choi Hwan, on the other hand, is the richest merchant who turns out to be one of the princess’ husband candidates. Although he seems to be the perfect match, he comes with a secret.
