For the first time, Prabhas teamed up with KGF-famed director Prashanth Neel for the 2023 movie Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. The movie was another star-studded flick, as it also featured Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Sriya Reddy, Easwari Rao, and others. The action drama has a lot of emotional sequences and follows the story of two childhood friends who turn out to be the biggest enemies of all time. For the movie, Neel created massive sets to depict Khansar, a brutal city. The movie was allegedly made on a budget of $32.3 million. It earned a good sum in its advanced booking, and its worldwide gross collection reached $74.09 million, per Sacnilk.
Baahubali: The Beginning
Prabhas’ third-highest-grossing movie is the 2015 SS Rajamouli’s directorial Baahubali: The Beginning. The movie featured the story of how Mahendra Baahubali finds his roots in Mahishmati and learns about his father, a legendary warrior named Amarendra Baahubali. Allegedly made on a heavy budget of $21.5 million, the movie became an overnight blockbuster. The audience slowly cherished its story and eagerly began waiting for Part 2 at the time of its release. Per Sacnilk, the movie grossed a whopping $78 million at its worldwide box office.
Saaho
Kalki 2898 AD’s Prabhas made his Hindi movie debut with the 2019 movie Saaho. Helmed by Sujeeth, the movie also starred Shraddha Kapoor as the leading lady. The movie was another heavy-budget film, as the makers spent a whopping $42 million. While the movie opened to mixed reactions, it earned about $54.09 million worldwide.
Now, Prabhas’ latest movie, Kalki 2898 AD, is expected to smash several records. The film’s Day 1 box-office collection has reached a whopping $23 million. By the first weekend of the movie, it is expected to reach a new milestone. The movie was allegedly made on a whopping budget of $72 million. Besides Prabhas, it also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Shobana, Disha Patani, Saswata Chatterjee, and others.
