The latest Telugu movie Gangs Of Godavari is all set to hit the theaters. Written and directed by Krishna Chaitanya, the action drama is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya. Venkat Upputuri and Gopichand Innamuri have co-produced the movie. Yuvan Shankar Raja has given the film’s music, which has a massive buzz among fans. While fans are eagerly waiting to catch the movie in the theaters, its lead star has confirmed a sequel to the film.
It stars Vishwak Sen as Rathna and Anjali as Rathnamala. Neha Shetty plays the role of Bujji who is also Rathna’s love interest. Nassar, P Sai Kumar, Hyper Aadi, Madhunandan, and Praveen will play supporting characters. It is allegedly based on a man’s journey from rags to riches in the Godavari coastal regions of the country.

During the recent press conference of the movie, the actor confirmed that the movie will have a sequel. He also confirmed that he would lead the sequel to the movie.
The pre-release event of Gangs of Godavari has grabbed netizens’ attention. However, it is because of the viral video of Nandamuri Balakrishna pushing actress Anjali ahead of a group photo.
The clip has received mixed reactions from the audience. While netizens are slamming Balakrishna for his actions, the makers of the upcoming movie have defended him. They asked netizens to watch the entire clip from the event and alleged that Balakrishna and Anjali had high-fived after the incident. The actress has not reacted to the incident yet.
Gangs of Godavari was delayed a few times and was initially set to release in mid-May. However, the Telugu movie is now slated to release on May 31, 2024.
