Prithviraj Sukumaran’s latest film, Guruvayoorambala Nadayil, has finally arrived in theaters and is receiving positive reviews from the audience. Amidst the excitement, fans are eagerly anticipating its first-day box office collection. According to a trade analyst website, the film earned a significant amount on its opening day.
Directed by Vipin Das, Guruvayoorambala Nadayil is set in the backdrop of a typical Indian wedding. Alongside Prithviraj, the film’s cast includes Basil Joseph, Nikhila Vimal, and Anaswara Rajan in the lead roles. Yogi Babu, Baiju Santhosh, Irshad, Jagadish, and others appear in supporting roles.
In a recent interview, the director discussed the film’s plot and said, “Prithviraj and Basil play brothers-in-law who also happen to be good friends. Their chemistry and banter enhance the movie. Each character, irrespective of screen time, has a certain space in the film.” However, the plot takes an amusing turn when the characters marry someone other than their fiancés during a wedding at a temple. Moreover, the crew shot the film across various locations, including Kochi, Guruvayur, and Dubai.
Guruvayoorambala Nadayil day 1 box office collection explored
According to sacnilk, the film earned around $455,739 at the Kerala box office on its opening day. Additionally, it garnered around $767,561 in worldwide collections,. Notably, the movie has surpassed Aavesham, starring Fahadh Faasil, which had an opening day collection of $419,760 at the Kerala box office. With this strong opening, Guruvayoorambala Nadayil has emerged as the third biggest box office opener in Malayalam cinema for 2024.
Additionally, Sukumaran recently appeared in Aadujeevitham, which became the second highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2024. Moreover, he is also gearing up for his upcoming sequel, Salaar Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam, expected to be released in 2025. The rebel star Prabhas will also be featured in the lead role alongside Sukumaran.
