Prithviraj Sukumaran’s upcoming film, Aadujeevitham, is all set to make its theatrical debut on March 28, 2024. Reportedly, the movie took almost 15-16 years to complete from 2009 until now, and filmmakers shot it in the deserts of Jordan, Wadi Rum, the Sahara, and some parts of Kerala. Fans are eagerly anticipating its theatrical release, and the advance booking numbers for Aadujeevitham promise a profitable start.
Director Blessy drew inspiration from the novel of the same name, which he read in 2008. He signed with Prithviraj the same year and collaborated with the novelist, Benyamin. Interestingly, the lead actor lost 31kg of weight to portray the role of Najeeb.
Aadujeevitham is based on the true story of Najeeb, a Keralite migrant worker who found himself at a crossroads in 1993. With dreams of a promising job in Saudi Arabia, he embarks on his journey away from his eight-month-pregnant wife. The film explores the final stages of Najeeb’s desert life, promising a survival thriller drama.
In addition to Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film features Amala Paul, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Shobha Mohan, and others. With a budget of $9.6 million, the movie will hit the big screens in multiple languages.
