SS Rajamouli heaps praises on Malayalam rom-com Premalu
SS Rajamouli’s son, SS Karthikeya, brought Premalu’s Telugu version to the big screens. According to Hindustan Times, Rajamouli recently attended an event to celebrate the success of the Malayalam rom-com. Despite rom-coms not being the genre that Rajamouli works in, he thoroughly lauded the film’s script.
SS Rajamouli said, “It’s meant to be watched in theatres because it’s hilarious, when the people next to you laugh, you enjoy it more.” Further, the RRR director admitted that he is jealous of the talent in the industry. He said, “It is with jealousy and pain that I admit the Malayalam film industry produces better actors. In this film too, they did a fantastic job.”
Premalu stars Naslen K Gafoor and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles. Praising the leading lady, Rajamouli compared her to Sai Pallavi. He said, “I think she has potential and I see a lot of love for her.”
