SS Rajamouli is bringing back the world of Baahubali to the audience with a brand new animated web series, Baahubali: Crown Of Blood. The anticipation around the show is already sky-high as it will mark the return of the original cast, including Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, and more. While the show is a few days away from its release in the digital space, its creator recently hinted at the expansion of the franchise.
SS Rajamouli’s created Baahubali film franchise garnered praise and a whopping sum at the worldwide box office. The movie’s emotional and dramatic themes, mixed with action sequences, thoroughly entertained the audience. Even years after the Baahubali: The Conclusion was released, its story stayed with fans. Now, Rajamouli has confirmed that the story will continue for a long time.
Baahubali franchise to expand in more mediums
Ahead of the release of Baahubali: Crown Of Blood, its makers recently held a press conference. SS Rajamouli also attended the event and answered various questions about the franchise. During the conference, the filmmaker also revealed his plans for the expansion of the franchise in various mediums.
Per Pinkvilla, he said, “Baahubali is going to go forward not just with the animated series. Baahubali is going to expand in many other ways and mediums.” However, he refrained from sharing more details about his future plans.
Baahubali: The Beginning came out in 2015 and changed Indian cinema. It broke a number of records with its massive box office collection. Moreover, it opened the doors for more regional films to flourish in the global market. Its sequel, Baahubali: The Conclusion, became an even bigger blockbuster. It attracted a lot of Western audiences and minted millions.
As the original cast of Baahubali is back in the upcoming animated series, fans’ excitement has no bounds. Baahubali: Crown of Blood will be available to stream on DisneyPlus Hotstar from May 17, 2024.
