Moby Starring Thriller INTRUDER Locks NYC Theatrical Date

It’s another home invasion movie! It’s another single girl alone under threat of some class of nasty lunatic movie! It’s another damn movie called INTRUDER! And it stars Moby!

Wait…Moby?

That’s right, electronic music maven Moby has a starring role in writer/director Travis Zariwny’s INTRUDER which is just enough to make the movie stand out from the other half dozen movies called either INTRUDER, INTRUDERS or THE INTRUDERS that have been released in the last 5 years.

The movie is indeed the product of filmmaker Travis Zariwny, the man who, under the name Travis Z, made the unfortunate CABIN FEVER remake. But we won’t hold that against him.

INTRUDER has been picked up by IFC Midnight and will be released on June 24th in New York’s IFC Center (it also hits VOD that day) and its LA date is TBD.

Here’s the synopsis:

A young woman’s quiet night in becomes a free-fall into fear in this disturbing home invasion thriller. After she lands her dream job, a young cellist (Louise Linton) settles in for a relaxing few days holed up in her apartment—but as a violent storm rages outside, she can’t shake the feeling that someone is watching her every move. Cleverly toying with the rules of suspense, INTRUDER wrings maximum terror from everyone’s worst nightmare: you may not be alone.

PS. Moby is in it.

Just watch the trailer…
