Following the success of this years stunning independent horror film, It Follows, director David Robert Mitchell is keeping things dark with crime (maybe crime-horror) series, Mr. Postman.
Deadline reports Mitchell teams with Universal Cable Productions and Benderspink on Mr. Postman, which concerns a mailman who investigates the dark mysteries within his all-American town after a horrific event occurs on his own street.
Dawn Olmstead, Executive Vice President, Development at UCP, who recently inked a first-look deal on two Syfy series with Wes Craven, says David is a true artist with incredible vision that I believe will be a game changer in storytelling both in television and film. We are very excited to take out Mr. Postman, his first TV project. Its like nothing else out there.
