The film is an adaptation of Briane Keene’s novel of the same name and, according to Galligan, it will be directed by Jon D. Wagner.
Wagner served as a line producer on the upcoming Cheap Thrills, All Cheerleaders Die and Starry Eyes.
Damian Maffei, Megan Duffy (Maniac) and Hannah Fierman will co-star, per Galligan’s Twitter.
Here’s the publisher’s synopsis for “The Cage” novel: For the employees of Big Bill’s Home Electronics, it’s just the end of another long workday-until a gunman bursts into the store and begins shooting. Now, with some of their co-workers dead, the hostages are disappearing one-by-one, and if they want to survive the night, they’ll have to escape… THE CAGE.
