Sony wants cameras rolling pre-SAG/DGA strike

Sony is anticipating an April production start on Zombieland. Variety reports Ruben Fleischer is hungrily circling the director’s chair. If he signs, he’d guide “the most frightened guy on Earth” through a world ravaged by a zombie apocalypse. As the Hollywood trade states, the title refers to a funeral home-cum-public attraction called “Zombieland.”
The screenplay, which recently appeared on the 2007 industry Black List (hot scripts circulating through town), was written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Pariah Films is producing.
