Opening in theaters December 28th
Closing a year in horror full of severed appendages, remakes and a resurgence in Stephen King adaptations comes The Orphanage, an excellent, even if somewhat saccharine, ghost story brought to us by producer Guillermo Del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth) and director Juan Antonio Bayona.
Opening December 28th, the film stars Belén Rueda as a wife who moves into an old orphanage from her youth in an attempt to revitalize the property and make it a haven for children with special needs. When her own son goes missing, she suspects something supernatural is afoot.
