Given Ryan’s relationship with Butcher and Homelander, fans wonder if he’ll die in The Boys Season 4. Both men have been vying for Ryan’s affection, which might lead to his death, considering their ruthlessness. We’ll examine whether Ryan lived through The Boys S04E04 below.
Does Ryan die in The Boys Season 4?
As of the end of The Boys Season 4, Episode 4, Ryan is alive and well.
However, Ryan’s affection is divided between his biological father, Homelander, and adoptive father figure, Billy Butcher. Additionally, the CIA is on a mission to apprehend and brainwash the kid to use him as a contingency against Homelander, if the latter goes rogue. It is also possible that the CIA wants to take Ryan down.
This could be to prevent the kid from becoming another Homelander-like figure, having his father’s backing. But their true motivations are still unclear. Ryan is at low risk of death this season as he isn’t necessarily on anyone’s hit list yet. Furthermore, both Billy Butcher and Homelander are hellbent on ensuring his safety at any cost.
Nevertheless, as gory and dark The Boys is, anything could happen. Accidents occur left and right throughout the show. It’s also worth noting that the Boys and The Seven aren’t the only ones with an agenda. Multiple other parties such as the CIA are involved. Most importantly, Ryan could get caught up in the quarrel between Butcher and Homelander.
Comingsoon will update the story if Ryan dies in The Boys Season 4. But for now, it isn’t likely for his demise to occur in the fourth season. Besides, Ryan could become an important player moving on in the next and final season. Whether he might die in Season 5 will only be answered by the Season 4 finale.
